24 Years, 24 Fun Facts

In my twenty-four (almost twenty-five) years of life, I've managed to do quite a few things, see lots of interesting things, and go several places. It's been a great twenty four years of learning and growing for sure. So this blog has been brought to you by the number 24. Did anyone catch the Sesame Street reference there? No? Just me? Ok.

24. (I'll start with the basics) I am a twin. Fraternal. Meaning my twin BROTHER, Michael, and I aren't identical.  We have a younger brother, Elliott.
23. I've lived in  the same house for twenty four years. I've been dreaming of moving out since I was eighteen and started buying stuff for my "new place" years ago. Needless to say, my "hope chest" has turned into a "hope trailer" and I'm wondering if I'll ever fly the coop.
22. Since I was sixteen, I've always had at least two jobs. I currently have three and still find time to be bored.
21. I'm afraid of heights. More specifically, I'm afraid of looking down and knowing I could slip and fall to my death- like high up on mountain overlooks and such. However, I've been skydiving and wasn't the least bit scared.
20. I don't watch television. I may watch a show or movie every now and then, but I don't have any regular shows I watch. In fact, I bought a brand new television for my room and never watch it.
19. If given the chance to hang out with the elderly or children for the day- I'd pick the elderly.
18. I don't have fingernails. As long as I can remember, I've always bitten them. I'd compare trying to stop biting my nails to trying to stop smoking. Not that I know how hard that is, but I've tried everything and still can't stop.
17. I like learning things. More importantly, fun interesting things that are of no use. This may be why I took bar tending classes.
16. I've very flexible. Apparently I always have been, according to my mother, I used to throw my feet up by my head in the car seat. I can still get my legs behind my head.
15. When I was younger, I got hit in the head with a baseball bat. I stood too close to the batter. I had to have stitches in my eyebrow and if I don't get my eyebrows waxed, you can see the spot where the hair doesn't grow anymore.
14. I can sleep anywhere. If I'm not driving, I can be asleep in a car in a matter of minutes, even if I'm not tired.
13. I have crooked fingers.
12. I collect shot glasses. From places I've been and also just neat ones.
11. One of my biggest pet peeves is incorrect grammar and/or spelling. Don't get me started.
10. I prefer the lake or mountains over the beach. That is unless the beach is on the West Coast and the water is clear. I guess clear water spoiled me.
9. I like to fish/hunt/camp but I also like to do girly things like get pedicures and go shopping.
8. I want to be on the Price Is Right and play Plinko.
7. I don't know, nor care, about politics. I know people say that it's our duty to vote and be informed and blah blah blah, but I've never cared enough to actually take the time to listen to the lies I think they keep spewing. I do think our government has gone down the toilet, but I don't feel that my complaining about it will help.
6. I like making things. I'd prefer to make someone a gift instead of buying it.
5. I love to travel and see new places. One day I want to take at least a two week trip to New Zealand and Australia.
4. When in conversation, someone will say a line from a song or something that just reminds me of it, and I'll just randomly burst out singing the song.
3. I'd rather eat vegetables as opposed to french fries.
2. Fall is my favorite season with the turning of the leaves and the awesome weather, but I hate knowing that it's short lived and leading to the dreaded winter. I hate snow. and cold.
1. I am a morning person. I don't know if it's due to my job, or what, but I'm usually super happy and upbeat in the mornings.
